Felted bunny

Material: 1oz feltable yarn, Malabrigo is good - but you can use all your leftovers double pointed needles in the sizrt you need

Gauge: do not care about this! Felting is always a surprise - so you'll see which soizt the bunnies will have!

Instructions: Body

• Cast on 36 stitches for the body
• knit with 36 stitches per needles in the round. be careful not to twist! You will only use 3 needles holding the stitches and 1 needle for knitting!
• knit 25 rows - don't panic if you knit 24 or 27.... it is not important.
• beginning with the 26th row knit the first two stitches togehter on each of the needles. Do repeat the decrease in each 4th row.
• If you have left only 12 stitches in the round knit about 12-16 rows for the neck.

Now we'll knit the head:

Let's assume you have knitted 72 rows until now....

Row 73: *knit 1, knit in front and back of the stitch* repeat - this increases your stitch number to 18.

Row 74: knit

Row 75: as row 73 (27 stitches)

Row 76-78: knit

Row 79: * knit1, knit the following 2 stitches together* repeat (18 stitches)

Row 80: knit

Row 81: * knit1, knit the following 2 stitches together* repeat (12 stitches)

Row 82: knit

Now we have to knit the ears. We use 6 stitches for each ear. Knit in open work now.

First Ear:

• use only 6 stitches.
• Row 1: knit
• Row 2: knit, make one stitch, knit 4, make 1 stitch, knit 1
• Repeat row 1 and 2 until you have 18 stitches
• knit 4 rows
• in the following rows knit always the last two stitches togehter until only 3 stitches are left.
