2 re verkreuzen: zunächst die 2. Masche von vorne rechts stricken, dann die erste Masche rechts stricken, beide Maschen von der linken Nadel gleiten lassen.
2 li verkreuzen: zunächst die 2. Masche von hinten rechts abstricken, dann die erste Masche rechts stricken, beide Maschen von der linken Nadel gleiten lassen.
Anleitung
Achtung: Es wird komplett mit doppeltem Faden gearbeitet!
Tasche
Mit Nadelstärke 8,0 10 Maschen sehr locker anschlagen und 80 Reihen kraus rechts stricken.
Dann aus den Seitenkanten und der Anschlagkante insgesamt 90 Maschen aufnehmen (40 aus jeder Seitenkante, 10 aus der Anschlagkante, und ab jetzt in Runden stricken, Rundenanfang (= Beginn einer Schmalseite) markieren.
1. Runde: * 1 m wie zum linksstricken abheben, Faden über die Nadel (Patentmasche), 8 m rechts, 1 Patentmasche, 17 m rechts, 2 m rechts verkreuzen, 2 m links, 2 m links verkreuzen, 17 m rechts, ab * noch einmal wiederholen.
2. Runde: * 29 m rechts, 2 m links, 19 m rechts, ab * noch einmal wiederholen.
Diese beiden Runden fortlaufend wiederholen, bis eine Höhe von ca. 50 cm erreicht ist, enden mit einer 2. Runde.
Nächste Runde: * Patentmasche, 8 m rechts, Patentmasche, 4 m rechts, 2 m rechts zusammenstricken, 2 Umschläge, 2 m rechts überzogen zusammenstricken, 9 m rechts, 2 m rechts verkreuzen, 2 m links, 2 m links verkreuzen, 9 m rechts, 2 m rechts zusammenstricken, 2 Umschläge, 2 m rechts überzogen zusammenstricken, 4 m rechts, ab * noch einmal wiederholen
Nächste Runde: wie 2. Runde, die beiden Umschläge dabei 1 re, 1 li abstricken.
Noch einmal 1. und 2. Runde stricken.
Die Maschen locker abketten.
Träger
2 Stück stricken
Mit Nadelstärke 12 4 m locker anschlagen, eine Reihe rechts. Dann die Maschen ans Ende der rechten Nadel schieben und wieder abstricken, den Faden hinten herum anziehen. So entsteht eine Art sehr lockerer Strickliesel-Schlauch. Die 2. Reihe solange wiederholen, bis der Schlauch ca. 1,5 m lang ist.
Fertigstellung
Alle Fäden vernähen und abschneiden.
Bei 40° mit einigen Jeans oder Handtücher in den normalen Waschgang - beim Originalmaterial sollte ein Durchgang reichen. Die Träger sollten sehr stark verfilzt sein, fast wie Lodenstoff.
Die Tasche mit Büchern o.ä. (Plastiktüte!) gefüllt trocknen lassen.
Die "Knopflöcher" in der Tasche öffnen, die Träger so durchziehen, dass die Enden nach außen zeigen und einen Knoten in die Träger machen.

right twist: knit second stitch on needle from the front, knit first stitch in front loop, slip both stitches from left needle - two stitch cable without cable needle

The bag is worked with yarn doubled throughout! If you substitute with a yarn of about 100 m / 50 g you should use it doubled, if you use a thicker yarn (yardage about 50 m / 50 g) a single strand is enough. If you're unsure, make a swatch to see if you like the result.
With circular needle cast on 10 stitches very loosly and work 80 rows of garter stitch. Begin working in the round by picking up stitches around the piece - 40 stitches from the side, 10 from the cast on edge, 40 from the second side - 100 stitches altogether. Mark beginning of round = beginning of one short edge.
1. round: * slip one stitch as if to purl with a yarn over (brioche stitch), k8, brioche stitch, k17, right twist, p2, left twist, k17, repeat from * once
2. round: * k29, p2, k19, repeat from * once
Repeat those two rounds until a height of about 50 cm (20") is reached, end with round 2.
Next round: * brioche stitch, k8, brioche stitch, k4, k2tog, yo, yo, skpsso, k9, right twist, p2, left twist, k9, k2tog, yo, yo, skpsso, k4, repeat from * once - you created four holes for the cords.
Next round: work as round 2, yo yo is worked as k1, p1
Repeat round 1 and 2 once.
Cast of loose.
Work 2.
With double pointed needle cast on four stitches very loosly, knit one row. Work an I-cord of about 1.5 m length (60") - working I-cord - slip stitches on right needle to the other end and work them again in the same direction as before.
Weave in all ends and cut them.
Put the bag and the cords in the washing machine together with jeans or towels and let the machine do her work. The cords should be very thick and felted to a greater extend than the bag. Stuff the bag with plastic wrapped books or boxes to desired form and let dry.
Open the holes with scissors (if necessary), pull the cords through the holes so the end sticks to the outside and make an overhand knot (double knot if necessary to prevent from slipping through).
